How is a fiberglass needled mat made?
The fiberglass needled mat is made from alkali-free glass fiber yarn as raw material, with a single fiber diameter of 7 to 9 micrometers. The fibers are cut into short lengths ranging from 6cm to 9cm, and then subjected to carding and decomposition to create an extremely fine felt-like material. This material is then fed into a needle punching machine, where it is continuously stitched using thousands of needle punches. Its main components are silica, alumina, and calcium oxide.
